In Pink Lotus Travel, we offer as much as possible Responsible Travel. We strive to ensure that, wherever possible, the impact of our activities is beneficial to the environment and culture of the areas in which we operate. Travelers always receive a general briefing how to respect and deal well with the social and cultural aspects of the country of destination, and how to take care of the environment by our host and/or local guide.

Further we make exclusively use of the internet and email to distribute information and communicate with clients to save trees & minimize wastage. In office we re-use paper for printing and keep all used paper material apart to hand out to old paper collectors.

We belive that one of the best ways of preventing damage to the natural and cultural environment is to promote activities to relieve poverty among communities who live in sensitive areas. Our tours include nature excursions, home stays, trekking within a travel… of which local nature organizations and local guides do profit directly. We reserve a part of our profit for supporting local families or local projects with social, ambiental or healthcare aspects.

Our latest charity activity is providing relief for flood victims in Quang Binh provinces, the hardest hit area.

 

 

 

 

We have presented 150 gifts worth a total 52 million VND and 1,500 tones of rice Quang Binh. Over 150 poor households were concentrated in Village Committee to receive gift part.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

We divided in 2 teams: One delivered rice, medicine, clothes, money in the Village Committee … Others came in other households where could not access by car to looked  for other poor families to contribute money and shared difficulties of people. There were so many poor peoples in real life. There were many families without any property… and others. A small gift of us wasn’t able to change their life but would help them in meal of next days.

This journey brought not only practical effects for people who have lived in flood regions but also precious experiences for members of Pink Lotus….
