Join us for a three-day trip to unveil the real beauty and mystery of the Mekong Delta. We ensure that you will enjoy some fantastic boat rides through the narrow channels amongst the Delta’s incredible scenery, observing locals’ life goes while visiting a stunning floating market of Cai Rang or Phong Dien. Paying a short visit to the border-town of Tri Ton gives you an insight into how Vietnamese, Khmer and Cham live in harmony. A rowing boat ride through Tra Su Conservation is just unique and unforgettable with its breathtaking landscape. This is where you can observe hundreds thousands of birds and storks in the wild. Words alone can never describe the mysterious, lyric and music-like sounds of the birds while gathering and protecting their nests! Visiting the Mekong Delta region this time of year, September to December, you will surely get an insight into the locals’ day-to-day activities, how they adapt to the change of the mother-nature, switch from farming to fishing, their social life, culture, belief and hospitality. Visiting the region this time of year, you can enjoy the most delicious local dishes with all kinds of fresh water fish, shrimps, and natural and organic vegetables.

DAY 1: Tam Vu-Cho Gao-My Tho-Ben Tre-Can Tho (L)

Get off the Highway 1 at Tan An town and head to Tam Vu and Cho Gao then My Tho (85km). Some stops en route to see farmers working on paddy fields. A short boat ride to cross the upper Mekong to Ben Tre then being transferred to small sampans to get through some green, lush, picturesque and Amazon-like creeks. Call on some local families to see how they make coconut candies by hands. Lunch will be served at a local’s orchard. Continue our journey to Can Tho with a pleasant drive (90m). Check in hotel and have free time. Accomodation: Golf Can Tho Hotel, Kim Tho Hotel, Saigon  Can Tho Hotel, or similar

DAY 2: Cai Rang or Phong Dien Floating Market-Long Xuyen-Tri Ton- Chau Doc (B, L)

Early boat trip to visit Cai Rang or Phong Dien floating market, enjoy coffee and fruits at the market and watch the locals’ world goes by from our boat. Head to Long Xuyen for lunch (50km) and a quick break to visit the beautiful Theravada Khmer Buddhist Temple of Xvayton at Tri Ton (60km). A short drive to Tra Su Conservation, board on an arrow-boat and then a rowing-boat to unveil the breath-taking scenery and the wildlife habitats of this sensational and unique Conservation. The day ends with another short drive to Chau Doc Accomodation: Chau Pho Hotel, or similar

DAY 3: Floating Village-Sa Dec- Saigon / or Floating Village-Phnom Penh (B)

Boat trip to visit a massive floating village where thousands of locals live on their floating house and earn their living on breeding Basa and many other kinds of fresh-water fish. A pleasant drive to Sa Dec’s bonsai and flower villages (100km). This is where you can enjoy the arts of landscaping, creating bonsai, growing and looking after many kinds of bonsai and flower. Lunch at Sa Dec before head back to Saigon with some stops en route to visit a beautiful brick factory (140km); or if you choose to exit to Phnom Penh, after the boat trip you will board on a speed boat and cross the check-point of Vinh Xuong (Chau Doc) to Cambodia (5 to 6 hours)
